User Interface Developer

Job Description

The UI Developer will be a critical member of the passionate, multidisciplinary engineering team supporting Greensea’s industry-leading Workspace for command and control of robotic systems. They will take part in all aspects of user interface development for marine robotic systems, including software design and development with a focus on making the user’s experience seamless and intuitive. The successful UI Developer will develop an understanding of how operators use subsea robots to accomplish modern tasks and how our software makes operators more effective and productive. This position will work closely with the UI Architect and UX Designer to develop and enhance key elements of the Greensea Workspace.

Responsibilities
Design intuitive user interfaces that enhance the relationship between marine vehicles and the operators that use them:

●Work with end users, engineers, and program managers to capture interfacerequirements
● Implement UI refinements
● Maintain software documentation and assist in the development of user documentation.
● Support customization as well as long term planning for standardization across products
● Support end users as they apply Greensea’s technology to the work they do in the field.
● All other responsibilities as reasonably assigned.

Requirements

●Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or similar field.
● 3+ years developing in an object-oriented language (C++ preferred).
● Experience working in a development framework (Qt preferred).
● Familiarity with GIS concepts (ArcGIS preferred).
● Working experience with Linux operating system(s) (Ubuntu preferred).
● Familiarity with Windows operating system.
● Working knowledge of mobile or underwater robot systems, including their sensors, construction, and use (preferred).
● Strong written and oral communication skills.
