POSITION PURPOSE:
The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) acts as a representative of treatment staff and observes all patient activity, maintains a visible presence on the clients at the treatment center, community housing, and at outside activities. The BHT will also circulate throughout the treatment center and community housing facility, and alert to fire and safety hazards. The BHT is responsible for driving the company vehicle to ensure clients arrive safely and on time each day for scheduled actives.
SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY TO POSITION
- Report on daily activities and behaviors of all patients.
- Safely transport patients to and from activities and meetings.
- Ensure patient safety by being alert to potential hazards.
- Provide structure, boundaries, and a warm and caring environment.
- Work as part of a team to provide exceptional patient care.
- Promote a positive morale and maintain professional composure.
Pay Range $16 to $22 per hour.
Commensurate with experience.

Requirements:
Valid and active Driver License is required.- Basic computer literacy required.
- Work experience in the field of substance abuse preferred.
- KIPU EMR knowledge preferred.
- Current CPR certification and First Aid preferred.
- RADT certification preferred.
