SUMMARY

To coordinate and management of maritime, air and land freight. Generate and request quotes for logistics services. Selection of the best option from our suppliers to cover shipments. Follow-up of the correct payment of services provided by suppliers. Management of parcel portals, generation of labels, guides for shipments by UPS, DHL, FedEx, etc. Follow-up of import and export shipments. Maintain database on shipping rates and logistics operations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communication with suppliers and transport companies during the entire logistics process from the collection of the material to the confirmation of delivery at the destination
  • Contact suppliers or customers to coordinate collection.
  • Contact suppliers or customers to coordinate delivery
  • Scheduling collection of national and international shipments, import and export
  • Establish and maintain deadlines to ensure that all logistics management steps are completed on time (meeting delivery targets)
  • Meet the objectives with the internal client and external client
  • Record operating costs in accounting accounts
  • Validate and record invoices from logistics providers
  • Review of shipping documents (BL, HAWB, BOL, Invoice, Packing List, Certificates of Origin, etc)
  • Release of shipments from the different customs of the country
  • Contact, report and control operations with customs agents
  • Review of Incoterms, Taxes, HT´s Codes, etc.
  • Information management for classification processes
  • Gathering of information that is necessary for customs clearance
  • Electronic files

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in International trade, International business, International logistics or similar
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with imports and exports, experience with maritime, air and land operations, preference in the automotive sector
  • Import & Export customs knowledge International transportation knowledge, e.g. Maritime, air, land, etc.
  • Tracking of international transportation With a high sense of urgency, Analytical, Empathy, Teamwork, and Initiative
  • Information management Problem-solving skills Proactivity High process analysis skills
