Transition-Age Youth (TA V) Training Coordinator Position Description
The Marshall University Research Corporation Center of Excellence for Recovery’s TAY Training Coordinator is responsible for developing unique training courses and programs for TAY youth and for professionals and paraprofessionals that work with TAY youth.

TAY Training Coordinator duties and responsibilities :
  • Assess learning and skill development needs of key stakeholders including TAY youth, professionals, paraprofessionals, local, state and national officials and subject matter experts.
  • Research best practices in needed areas and complete a detailed literature review.
  • Identify local and national potential subject matter experts and engaging them as needed for the project.
  • Work with the TAY Project Team to develop and implement trainings/educational programs including asynchronous and synchronous trainings and courses as well as immersive and/or experiential learning experiences. This will include developing curricula, promoting, facilitating and even providing training/educational experiences.
  • Working with applied researchers to evaluate increases in learning, skill development and integration into life and professional practice.
  • Gather and evaluate information on previous training/education to identify areas for improvement and areas that need additional training.
  • Create and manage training schedules, manage all relations and contracts with subject matter experts/trainers in conjunction with the TAY Project Director, track attendance and provide quarterly process level outcome reporting.
  • Attend seminars and meetings to learn new training methods and techniques and use the knowledge to prepare and coordinate future training sessions.
  • Use digital and other marketing strategies to promote the training/educational opportunities and provide information on benefits to encourage participation.
  • Recommend training materials and methods, order and maintain equipment, materials, etc. and conduct meeting/training/educational event planning including managing facilities, equipment, curricula, materials, supplies, etc. needed for the trainings.
  • Facilitate planning, take meeting notes and function as a member of TAY project team supporting the goals of the project.
  • Attend all TAY project meetings internal and external and any needed local, state or national meeting/conference/training.
  • Adhere to all Marshall University Research Corporation, State of West Virginia and Center of Excellence for Recovery policies and procedures.
  • May supervise staff and/or students.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Location OTHR - Other Off-Campus Location Salary Range $65,000
Required Qualifications

Education
A degree in behavioral health or related area is required.

Experience
At least 5 years of experience in developing and coordinating training in a complex working environment. At least 5 years of experience in a role managing projects and contracts and working with project teams. Excellent communication and writing skills required.
Experience with MS Office Suite required.
Knowledge of digital marketing strategies and methods.

Must be able to perform all essential job duties as outlined in the job description.

Preferred Qualifications

Education
A master’s degree is preferred.
