Salary Range: $28.62 - $36.57/Hour

SUMMARY:

• The Transit Analyst has primary responsibility for creating accurate financial and statistical reports on transit operations for county, state, and federal reporting. The Transit Analyst position is shared with Washington County.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create reports to the FTA and to WisDOT performance metrics. Analyze data, and create reports. Review all grant related expenses. Respond to audits and periodic reviews. Create and manage internal databases to track grant data.
• Maintain accurate documentation on grant-funded projects, including procurements and grant reimbursements; Ensure consistency in records management; develop processes, procedures, and templates; Prepare documentation for ECHO/grant payments; Provide documentation for audits & reviews
• Reconciliation of all expenses and revenues from all sources; Records and monitors detailed monthly transactions ensuring expenses are correctly reflected in the general ledger; Performs financial variance analysis to ensure accurate month end financial reporting; Prepares monthly financial reports; Track and sell Shared Ride Taxi punch cards – manage IRIS, DWD, and Agency accounts.
• Coordinates with Ozaukee Highway, taxi contractor, and County insurance coordinator to maintain records of vehicle incidents & accidents to ensure resolution & repair. Monitors and reports on the condition of transit assets, to include revenue and non-revenue vehicles, facilities, bus stop amenities, and assists in periodic updates to the County’s Transit Asset Management (TAM) Plan.
• Serve as the Chief Safety Officer for Ozaukee County Transit; Track safety events, escalate as needed; submit safety reports to FTA; conduct annual safety assessment; identify hazards, and recommend priorities.
• Work with the Transit Superintendent to ensure procurement processes meet federal and state grant reporting requirements; Conduct independent cost estimates; Research vendors and products and prepare recommendations; Prep required forms specific to the type of procurement;
• Assist Transit Superintendent with short and long-term transit projects. May attend vendor meetings or outreach events.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Knowledge of statistics and budget management required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• 2-3 years of relevant experience.
• 3 years required managing data from multiple sources and tracking department expenses; 1 year experience working with grant reporting or federal/state programs; transit experience preferred; experience working with elderly or disabled populations preferred.
