Trainer Job at HI-LEX Group
Performs duties to instruct operators in the safe and proper methods of performing their duties to produce a part conforming to our quality and self maintenance standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
- Instruct operators in the safe and proper operation of all assembly line stations to produce a part conforming to our quality requirements.
- Perform in-process checks, tests and gauging as required by control plans and operator instructions.
- Identify out of tolerance components and final assemblies.
- Assist and guide operators in minor maintenance such as oiling and lubing.
- Assist implementation of TPM program (red tag procedure).
- Notifies supervisor when equipment and gauges need maintenance, repair, or require calibration.
- Instruct operators in 5S program to improve their understanding and activities.
- Assist others in team problem solving efforts.
- Initiate MIR’s.
- Must have excellent attendance record.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
- Fill in for absent operators at all positions on all lines.
- Have general knowledge of prototype builds.
- Assist with required paperwork.
- Performs other duties as necessary.
- Relieves operators for restroom breaks.
SPECIALIZED TRAINING, SKILLS, ABILITIES, EXPERIENCE:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Trainer must know how to use basic measuring instruments and basic math skills.
- Must keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Uses gages, wrenches, micrometers, calipers, screwdrivers, hammers, and tester calibration equipment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Factory environment with noise from manufacturing environment. Exposure to moving equipment, parts and electrical shock. Possible serious injury due to carelessness around equipment.
- Sometimes lifts, carries or moves objects – weighing up to 50 pounds.
