Description:

The maintenance mechanic performs a full range of assignments using independent judgement to make decisions requiring the application of procedures and practices to specific work situations. Troubleshoots repairs and maintains heavy machinery and vehicles.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Diagnose issues with hydraulic and electrical systems.

· Exhibit positive and effective interaction with other Revere associates and vendors.

· Maintain accurate records of all service, repairs and other work.

· P/M’s, repairs of breakdowns.

· Restore equipment to working order.

· Various preventative maintenance tasks.

Minimum Qualifications:

The successful individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following qualifications are also desirable:

· Ability to perform preventative maintenance tasks on heavy equipment.

· Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals (wiring / hydraulic / etc.).

· Be willing to work off-shifts, weekends and overtime if required.

· Capable of pipe fitting and hydraulic repairs.

· Experience maintaining heavy and commercial vehicles.

· Experience with diesel and propane motor repair.

· Knowledge on troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic and fuel systems (Propane, Diesel, Gas)

· MT252 Fluid mechanics course

Special Demands:

· Be able to climb ladders.

· Be capable of regularly lifting up to 50 pounds.

· May be exposed to chemicals used in the vehicle repair process.

· May be exposed to extremely dusty environments.

· May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.

· May be exposed to wet or humid conditions.

· May be regularly exposed to high noise environments.

· While performing the duties of this job, will be regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.

Education / Training:

Minimum:

· High School Graduate and or GED

Preferred:

· 2 years schooling and or 4 years of hands on work experience as a heavy equipment mechanic or forklift mechanic preferred but not required.

· Possess welding certifications.
