Tooling Specialist Job at EIS
Summary:
The Tooling and Machining Specialist has two primary responsibilities. The first is to manage the tool room which includes, but not limited to organize, sharpen, track, and maintain all CNC tooling and fixturing. The second is to set-up the necessary kits to efficiency set-up production orders which may include setting up the production order on the machine.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Repair and sharpen tooling
- Organize and optimize tool room utilizing min/max
- Identify and replace tooling as necessary
- Distribute and collect tooling from work centers
- Complete planned and preventative procedures within the tool crib
- Perform tool crib inspections and report on conditions affecting operations
- Assemble kits required to efficiently set-up production jobs on the CNC machines
- Set-up jobs as needed in production
- Assist engineering with projects as needed
- Comply with all safety procedures and requirements
- Participate in required meetings and training
- Other assigned tasks as requested
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or GED Required
- 2+ years tooling experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
