Immediate 2nd shift opening for Tool and Die Tech in industrial manufacturing. We are a large and growing stamping and welding facility, supplying parts for a major automotive brand. Located in Iuka, MS, we are looking for experienced factory Took & Die personnel to join our team. Second shift Tool Repair (2pm – 10pm) M - F, with opportunity for overtime.

  • Study specifications such as blueprint, job order, sketch or verbal description and plans sequences of operations.
  • Measure, mark and scribe metal stock to layout work pieces for machining.
  • Take care of production equipment (tools, dies, fixtures, etc.) and producing parts in accordance with customer specifications.
  • Apply knowledge of metal properties, layout, machining, tool design, shop math, metal properties, layout, machining and assembly procedures.
  • Observes and listens to operating machines or equipment to diagnose malfunction and determine need for adjustment or repair.
  • Uses measuring instruments such as micrometers, height gages, gage blocks and optical comparators.
  • Set up and operate machines tools such as lathe, milling machine, Wire EDM and Drill
  • Verify conformance of machined parts to specifications.
  • Position and secure parts in the machine.
  • Design simple sketches as required.
  • Enter relevant data into SAP
  • Identify areas of improvement and take necessary action
  • Report any discrepancies to department management immediately.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures
  • Other related duties as assigned by supervisor or senior management.

· Ability to work unsupervised.

· Minimum requirements: High School Diploma plus 3 years of maintenance experience; preferred post high school technical school training. Experience with lean manufacturing and 5S is a "plus".

· Must be available to work the assigned shift and any required overtime schedule.

Must pass Pre-employment maintenance test
