The management team at TheThings is looking for a Movie and TV Power Creator (Writer/VOA/Editor) to join their roster. In this position, we’re looking for someone who will be a part of a team that will work hard to provide the best content possible to our viewers in relation to everything Movies and TV.

As a Power Creator for TheThings, you will be part of a dynamic and growing team of professionals, and you will be provided with guidance and resources designed to help you achieve your goals. The ideal candidate will have more than just a basic ability to write, vo and edit videos, but will also be able to tell one cohesive story in a creative and engaging manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Create entertaining videos demonstrating energy, confidence, professional appearance, and audio visual quality.
• Researching topics and fact-checking all points;
• Verification of the final product to ensure perfect quality, including spelling and grammar;
• Utilize all collaboration software and platforms to facilitate the delivery of all scripts;
• Communication and coordination with the Production Coordinator and/or Content Lead;
• Recording 8+minute voice-over’s
• Editing and Post-Processing the audio into a usable state (breath removal, pacing editing, compressors, and post-processes as needed).
• Should deliver a 8+minute voice-over track that is ready to be video edited.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Be available at least 2 days a week
• Communication and coordination with the Production Coordinator and/or Content Lead;

Expectations

• Extensive experience with Adobe Premiere.
• Experience with the entire Adobe Creative Suite, specifically After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator
• Ability to edit videos from home
• Must be a strong storyteller
• Must be good with deadlines
• Relevant experience in writing and editing scripts strongly recommended;
• Affinity with the content of movies, and TV is a huge benefit/asset (passion for it is even better!).
• Knowledge of your preferred audio production program (Audition, Audacity, Protools, etc).
• Professional voice recording equipment.
• Experience in voice acting, podcasting, radio, television, etc.
• Driven to achieve goals through hard work;
• Good communication skills;
• Meticulous attention to detail and capability of producing flawless work;
• Affinity with the content of reality stars and their lifes is a huge benefit/asset (passion for it is even better!).
