Job Summary

Conducts testing of manufactured parts per established instructions. Works with the Engineering, Quality, and Operations groups to ensure product testing is completed on-time to support delivery. Communicates effectively with all organizational groups to coordinate test requirements and schedule. Works under the guidance of the test & validation supervisor/ manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct testing of composite pressure vessels per written work instructions.
  • Conduct product development testing per written work instructions and engineering instructions.
  • Perform troubleshooting of test equipment & communicate with maintenance when equipment maintenance is required.
  • Assist with implementation of new or improved testing equipment, as required.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures including safety program to ensure orderly and safe working conditions.
  • Participate & contribute to company 5S initiatives & program.
  • Effectively communicate and work with department members and supporting functions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, 2-year vocational degree preferred.

Skills

  • Ability to work with high-pressure equipment safely. Attention to detail and situational awareness is critical.
  • Ability to interpret and follow detailed work instruction, specifications and schematics is required.
  • Ability to achieve planned results by utilizing organization, prioritization and communication skills within a team environment is required. This includes recognizing internal customer expectations and scheduling upcoming tests accordingly.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills relative to technical issues is required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight as well as participate as part of a technical team is required.
  • Ability to reliably report status, performance and results is required.
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift and manlift is required.

Computer

  • Basic level knowledge of MS Word and Excel required, Intermediate level preferred.
  • Basic level knowledge of MS Outlook required.

Physical

  • Ability to use various hand-held tools.
  • Ability to sit, stand and walk for up to 8 hours or more per day.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs. on a regular basis, and up to 80 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to work with both hands and both feet on a regular basis.

Other

  • Have the flexibility to adjust work hours to meet manufacturing schedule requirements (as necessary).
