Interventional - The Interventional business unit at Teleflex offers innovative medical devices that are used to diagnose and treat coronary and peripheral vascular diseases. Position Summary

  • Follow Test Procedures to execute mechanical and analytical tests as assigned in support of product and process development activities
  • Follow good test practices as outlined in VSI procedures and perform tests effectively and efficiently within scheduled dates

Principal Responsibilities

  • Prepare and perform Design Verification/Validation product tests, accelerated aging, real time aging and OQ/PQ per test procedures and protocols in support of R&D activities
  • Coordinate tests to meet the required deadlines for all projects and communicate status to lab manager
  • Repackage and archive test articles post testing in support of R&D activities
  • Assist in investigation of non-conformances and contribute to root cause investigation for failures
  • Work within the OOS program for the laboratory
  • Maintain and enforce GLP/GMP documentation practices
  • Coordinate shipping and receiving of test articles in support of R&D activities
  • Maintain calibration and qualification programs within the laboratory
  • Coordinate package tests and age conditioning activities in support of R&D activities
  • Coordinate tests with external services in support of R&D activities
  • Carry out special analyses and investigations under the direction of an engineer as required
  • Coordinate inventory of materials and consumables for the laboratory
  • Assist in the qualification/validation of new test methods in support of R&D activities
  • Conduct initial training on test methods for other technicians

Note: 95% of this job involves direct R&D activities

Education / Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • 2 year technical degree in a scientific discipline preferred
  • Two years of related experience required with the preferred degree. Without a degree, four years of related experience is required

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

  • Organizational skills (schedules, prioritization, traceability).
  • Computer literacy required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Medical Device quality assurance experience helpful, but not required
