Seica USA is now hiring a:

Test Development Engineer: Provide pre/post sales technical support and test development to potential and existing customers on a mix of applications and projects in the semiconductor, automotive, and mil/aero markets.

In this position the Engineer is part of a team that is offering test and assembly solutions (In-circuit & Functional testing, Boundary Scan testing, and Semiconductor testing/handling) to customers working closely with other Test Development Engineers to design and build new test equipment and support our existing customer base. This role will also provide support to Seica’s startup Canavisia making new product introductions in the IoT market segment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ø Key technical contributor on turnkey test program developments.

Ø With proper training and mentoring, be able to ultimately configure a turnkey hardware or software solution.

Ø Process/evaluate customer product data to determine specific needs and identify a solution for the customer.

Ø Participate in Pre-sales activities including product presentations to customers, teleconferences, and trade show support.

Ø Interface with the Seica factory personnel (Applications/Service/R&D) to resolve pre/post sales issues.

Ø Understand the end customer’s business strategy using ICT, functional or a combination of both in their production and prototype lines.

Ø Understand the semiconductor fab and test process from wafer to part singulation and package test.

Ø Understand and use some test program software environments and coding such as; C++, VB, Teststand/Labview, excel/macros, and GUI interfaces.

Ø Be a technical lead on demonstrations of new IoT products to municipalities though out North America.

Ø Have a general understanding of network communication topics in the wireless market.

Ø Be able to present solutions in front of customers or virtually using software tools such as zoom, and GoToMeeting.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

· Education: BSEE, BSCE, BSSE or equivalent

· 0-3 years of minimum experience (including Technical high School Instructions in Electronics). This is an entry level position.

· Ability to interpret schematics and component datasheets and have a strong understanding of electrical components.

· Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, Power-point)

· Be able to obtain a military clearance.

· Due to customer requirements, only fully vaccinated candidates can be considered.

· Ability to travel as needed (up to 15% of the time).

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:

· Software certifications in NI would be a plus.

· Ability to write technical documentation clearly and concisely such as statement of work, benchmark reports, corrective action procedures, and test equipment operation procedures.

· Semi-conductor exposure or experience a huge plus.
