Temporary IT Support Tech II Job at Urban Health Plan, Inc
Position Summary:
Our MIS/IT department is currently seeking a dynamic individual to join the department who has a commitment to customer services for our users. As a member of our MIS/IT division, the IT Support Tech II is responsible for resolving support request generated through emails and calls.
This position is stationed onsite in the Bronx, NY. Associate must be able to work full time, Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm with rotating Saturday shifts.
The length of this temporary assignment is approximately 3 months in duration with the possibility to become permanent or ability to apply to permanent roles at the end of the assignment.
Starting Compensation: Minimum $50,000 per year; Maximum $65,000 per year (salary is based on level of expertise and education)
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- 2-5 years of experience working in an IT/Help Desk Environment in Microsoft OS environment.
- Bilingual Spanish/English, preferred.
- Proven track record of success in providing an excellent customer service experience. Excellent interpersonal skills, a must.
- Preferred Knowledge: Mitel, ECW, Sophos
- Preferred Certifications: A+, Net+, Sec+, MCSE, Windows Servers
Key Duties:
- Deploy, manage, and support end-user information technology.
- Second level of support to end users by handling request that have been escalated by lower tiers.
- Follow up on support request and ensure a timely resolution. Enter detailed notes into ticketing system.
- Troubleshoot user support issues workstation, network, application and hardware.
- Network troubleshooting including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, SDWAN, LAN, WAN and WLAN, IPv4 & IPv6 networking, firewalls, routers and switches.
