Temp Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) Job at Harbor Oaks Hospital

Temporary 13-week assignment at our hospital in New Baltimore, MI.
AVAILABLE SHIFTS AND HOURS:
The temp schedule is a set schedule for days (7:00 am-7:30 pm) or night shifts (7:00 pm - 7:30 am) working 3 12s and includes an every other weekend rotation, Sat and Sun.
Registered Nurse (RN) Pay:
$55-65 per hour
TRAINING AND ORIENTATION:
All new-hire temporary contract RNs will complete a 3-day psych orientation before hitting the floor.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE REGISTERED NURSE (RN):
- Provide and coordinate care by assessing the physical and behavioral health needs of patients, developing and implementing nursing care plans, maintaining medical records, and educating patients and their families about various physical and behavioral health conditions.
- Provide nursing care and services within the standards and scope of nursing practice as defined within the state Nurse Practice Act regulations, policies, procedures, and protocol.
- Ensure physician’s orders are legible if taken verbally and transcribed appropriately per policy and procedure.
- Ensure patient’s status is assessed on an ongoing basis and pertinent information gathered is documented. Notify physician of significant changes in status.
- Nursing treatment plans are specific to assessed needs. The initial treatment plan is completed upon admission.
EDUCATION AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license as required by the state of MI.
- Previous psych nursing experience highly preferred.
- 1 year of RN experience required.
