First Community Credit Union is looking to hire a full-time Member Service Representative (Teller) to assist our valued members with a variety of financial transactions. As an MSR, you arrive each day full of energy and ready to provide unsurpassed customer service to our members while maintaining our tradition of community trust. Cheerfully and in a professional manner, you greet them in person, on the telephone, or by email and enjoy developing and nurturing relationships as you serve their financial needs. You also perform other office tasks around our credit union as directed and help keep it tidy and organized.

During each shift, you stay busy as you efficiently process routine financial transactions for our new and existing members. You also have opportunities to utilize your product knowledge and cross-sell financial products and services to meet their current and future financial needs.

Your trustworthiness is essential as you help process mail drops, night drops, dual control customer deposits, and assist with vault transaction. Carefully maintaining a cash drawer with all the proper controls and ensuring that it balances at the end of each shift is also an important part of your job.

You are usually the first point of contact for members who want to do transactions, solve problems, or learn more about FCCU. You provide engaging, personal service to these customers and truly care about finding real solutions to their financial needs. You are goal-oriented and always learning and improving. You take pride in being the face of FCCU and projecting a positive image to our current and prospective members alike!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A TELLER

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Customer service experience
  • Proficient math and computer skills
  • Good typing and data entry skills

Experience handling money or answering phones is preferred. Previous financial industry experience is a plus, as is sales experience. You will need the ability to learn about and keep up-to-date on all bank products and services. Do you have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal? Are you detail-oriented and conscientious? Do you thrive in a fast-paced customer service environment? Are you able to prioritize tasks effectively? Are you honest and ethical? If so, then you might just be perfect for this position!

The typical work schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, various hours, and rotating Saturday mornings. We offer a competitive salary and excellent benefits. EOE
