SUMMARY: WR has an opportunity for a Technician, Senior to perform radar technical and training support to NSWC PHD Surveillance Radar group and the Next Generation Surface Search Radar (NGSSR) SPS-73(V)18, as part of our subcontract with Decision Tech.

Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Practical experience maintaining and troubleshooting shipboard radar systems in general (required), AN/SPS-67 or AN/SPS-73 radars in particular (highly desired).
• Practical experience with training, preventative maintenance, use of technical documentation, parts support, technical reports and documenting maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
• Familiar with shipboard safety procedures including electrical safety, electrical tag-outs, working aloft procedures, hazardous material handling and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Working knowledge of Change Requests & Engineering Change Proposals.
• Familiar with Navy Logistics Support elements including configuration management, onboard allowance and supply support.

Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:

• Associates degree in Engineering Technology OR
• Navy "C" schools in radar systems (preferably AN/SPS-67 or AN/SPS-73).
• Eight (8) years of experience as an Electronics Technician.
• Requires practical experience maintaining and troubleshooting shipboard radar systems in general, and AN/SPS-67 or AN/SPS-73 radars in particular.
• At least some degree of experience in a training/instructor role.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
