We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the team and grow with Wheel Pros and Driven Lighting Group, the undisputed king in the lighting category.

Job Summary:

The position will report to the Director of Engineering and will be a core member of the product development team.

The Technical Writer and Product Installer will work with the R&D team to develop product installation guides that will be used by consumers during the installation of DLG’s performance automotive lighting products. In order to prepare the guides, the person in this position will need to be capable of installing the products themselves (with the guidance of the RD team) using industry standard practices and procedures.

The successful candidate will be capable of managing their own schedule based on provided weekly priorities. General expectation will be to include multiple installation guides each week. Based on team need and availability, the Installer may also be asked to help with hands-on installation and validation testing of prototypes throughout the product development cycle. Testing will include vehicle installation, confirmation of functionality, and will be followed up by the creation of detailed test reports that will be provided to our manufacturing partners. The Installer should be comfortable working on high-value vehicles and performing the installation carefully so that no damage is done.

Responsibilities:

· Photograph and document the process so that an installation guide can be prepared.

· Create installation guides using standard computer software based on a provided template.

· Write a clear, concise and organized easy-to-follow guide for any customer with basic skills to be able to then perform the installation without assistance.

· Familiar with basic automotive assembly/disassembly techniques, with more advanced knowledge of bodywork and electrical systems preferred.

· Comfortable working on high-value vehicles and performing the installation carefully so that no damage is done.
