SUMMARY:

The Technical Support Specialist will perform two primary functions, computer systems administration and financial systems application administration.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install, configure, and maintain approximately 55 staff workstations at each location in accordance with Air Force (AF) Network Operations.
• Maintain all Government workstations in such a way as to comply with prescribed AF communications guidance/governance, to include the application of patch updates, and configuration changes.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot various financial applications.
• Assist Financial System Administrators (FSAs) at identified location.
• Facilitate the upgrade and maintenance of FM applications in the event of a release or upgrade.
• Manage the operability of the Comptroller Squadron telecommunications to include but not limited to, iPhones, VoIP, telephones, Blackberries, conference room projection equipment and VTC systems, and any Government issued cellular telephones and PDA devices.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma
• IA Technician (IAT) Level I required, must be able to obtain a Security+ Cert within 60 days, if not already have one.
• 1 to 3 years in IA technology or a related area

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Hold an active SECRET clearance
• Must be able to lift and carry at least 40 pounds
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background investigation

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Workspace will be in a US Government Facility with controlled access and/or military installation.
