Our St. Henry Processing plant in Mercer County, Ohio, prepares the turkeys for further processing and distribution.

Cooper Farms is currently seeking a Technical Services Technician to join our team in St. Henry.The primary objective of the Technical Services Technician is to ensure that the CAT2 system and related equipment is operating properly, and any issues are resolved in a timely manner. This position is responsible for playing a vital role in verifying data integrity for yield, product transfers, and traceability.

Job Functions:

• Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to CAT2 software and equipment, utilizing internal helpdesk ticketing software.
• Assist with setup, maintenance, and repair/replacement of any CAT2 related equipment, such as label printers, handheld computers, and touchscreen PCs.
• Act as liaison to the IT support staff for problem solving and preventive maintenance on equipment as assigned.
• Verify functionality of equipment and perform periodic basic maintenance as needed to keep equipment fully functioning and reliable.
• Assist with CAT2 training for all supervision and fellow team members.
• Maintain SOPs, forms, and other documentation related to CAT2 software, equipment, and processes.
• Monitor CAT2 information for completeness and accuracy. Follow up with supervision and team members if any information is not complete or accurate.
• Maintain a general working knowledge of Cooper Farms products, procedures, and operations.
• Maintain excellent customer service, ensuring all customers are treated efficiently and appropriately.
• Willing to learn and attend training to keep up with internal processes and changes in technology.

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Experience with technology or business systems is preferred.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as an interest and familiarity with technology,
• General working knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Outlook and Excel.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• This position does not require prior knowledge of or experience with the CAT2 software or equipment.
