Santa Cruz Biotechnology, Inc. (SCBT) has an immediate opening for a highly motivated, full-time, entry-level Technical Service Representative. This front-line position is the first contact point for SCBT customers. This position is highly interactive and requires strong interpersonal skills. Commitment to customer satisfaction and professionalism is a priority. This position is M-F 9:30 am-6 pm CST and some holidays.

The Technical Service Representatives (TSR) is responsible for processing high volume of orders, creating quotations, up-selling products and responding to general and technical product inquiries via phone, email, and chat. The TSR will work cross-functionally with the Customer Service team to ensure customer requirements and questions are fully satisfied. TSR will support customers worldwide.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Duties may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Process customer orders, answer inquiries, and coordinate shipments via phone, email and chat.
  • Timely answer high volume of incoming calls, emails and chats.
  • Accurately communicate product enhancements, promotional product information, prices and product availability to customers and distributors.
  • Work inter-departmentally to resolve customer order issues such as shipping errors, damaged products or price errors.
  • Explore product alternatives with customers when necessary.
  • Work effectively as a team player, supporting other staff members to ensure the highest level of customer support.
  • Prioritize, multi-task, and work with minimal supervision to meet deadlines.
  • Understand and address customer support issues effectively and expeditiously.
  • Exercises common sense, good judgment and discretion in decision making.

In addition to the responsibilities above, you will be involved in Antibody Licensing. You will play a crucial role in managing the licensing agreements and financial aspects related to the commercialization of antibodies. You will be responsible for reviewing licensing agreements, tracking royalty percentages, collaborating with accounts payable to ensure accurate payments, and maintaining comprehensive records for current licenses. Your attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams will be essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • Ability to take a high volume of phone calls repeatedly while maintaining professionalism with every caller.
  • Requires a bachelors degree in biology, chemistry, biochemistry or a closely related discipline.
  • Strong business communications (verbal, written, presentation), organizational, computer and customer service skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate confidence and poise when working with customers, peers, and managers.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Posses a strong work ethic, positive attitude, takes initiative and follows up on work appropriately.
  • Ability to sit at a workstation for extended periods of time to answer incoming calls and make outgoing calls using a headset.
  • Ability to shift priorities in order to meet company goals and deadlines.
  • Prior customer support work experience is a plus.
