We are presently seeking a Technical Product Manager that will contribute to marketing and business development projects at our facility in Billerica, MA on our Axsun brand of Swept-Source Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) and Near Infrared (NIR) Spectrometer products.

Responsibilities of this Position:

• Gather, qualify, and document customer requirements for new products or product variants;
• Develop supporting business cases for new product introduction initiatives;
• Provide product costing and pricing guidance;
• Support our global sales organization in developing new customers in medical and industrial imaging;
• Manage sales processes in complex customer organizations;
• Generate and manage product collateral for high-tech laser/optical components;
• Create digital content for technical support and sales team training;
• Spearhead customer survey and other outreach/engagement initiatives;
• Participate in tradeshows and product demonstrations;
• Work in a team with Sales, Engineering and Operations to satisfy customer needs;
• Collaborate with IT to administer sales and technical support tools and automation systems;
• Provide technical support pre-sale and post-sale to customers and prospects as able.

Required Attributes:

• Some technical background with optical or imaging systems;
• Strong sales skills and a customer focus;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills;
• Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team environment;
• Results-driven and action-oriented;
• 5+ years of experience in Technical Product Management;
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Physics or relevant field;
• Ability to travel in the US and Internationally 15-20%.

Desired Attributes:

• Familiarity with Optical Coherence Tomography imaging;
• Experience in industrial laser applications (Laser processing, Additive Manufacturing etc);
• Experience with high-speed data acquisition;
• Advanced business or technical degree;
• Familiarity with Salesforce.com and other sales/support/CRM systems;
• Familiar with markets and applications of 3D imaging in metrology, quality control, industrial inspection, and biomedicine.
