This role supports an AIRWorks customer in Arlington, VA.

Job Description and Responsibilities:

This position will provide technical, integration, and engineering support to Air Domain Awareness Systems AIRWorks Team in support of the Project Manager at the Pentagon. The candidate is responsible for providing technical expertise, system operations and sustainment, and engineering support of the integration, installation, analysis, test and evaluation, and deployment of the ADAS effort.

Primary tasks include:
- Supporting the AIRWorks Director and Deputy Director
- Supporting the ADAS Integrated Project Team Lead
- Coordinating all detailed task assignments with AIRWorks Leadership, while maintaining the ability to work independently and to plan and execute all project requirements.

The Candidate will support the ADAS efforts to include:
- Performing technical support of daily operations of the ADAS system to include systems operations, equipment installation maintenance and repair, ground station support, software installation and maintenance, system operator support, installation of system upgrades and modifications, configuration management, and airworthiness.
-Provide direct support to the Project Manager and perform the Lead Systems Engineer function.
- Support of specification development and technical review of reports and contract deliverables,
- Support for air vehicle, ground station, and sensor integration including flight Clearance support,
- Contract documentation support for asset modification, developing SOW for engineering requirements/efforts, engineering analysis of technical documentation, planning leading to requirements and specification definition for a follow-on procurements and sensor integration efforts, review system/subsystem ICDs for interface gaps.
- Assist in performing gap analysis and providing recommendations for system improvements.
- Participate in trad studies that includes evaluating proposed technical solutions and their physical implementation.
- Work with Government and Industry engineering, product support, manufacturing and program manager personnel, including technical experts from various DoD entities.

Basic Qualifications:

JOURNEYMAN (Mid): A Journeyman level person within a labor category has 3 to 10 years of experience related to the functional duties for that labor category and a BA/BS degree. A Journeyman level person typically performs all functional duties independently.

SENIOR: A Senior level person within a labor category has over 10 years of experience related to the functional duties for that labor category and a MA/MS degree. A Senior level person typically works on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently. A Senior level person may oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

- Familiarity with Unmanned mobile control system.
- Familiarity with NAVAIR Engineering processes.
- Familiarity with requirements documentation, and system engineering.
- Ability to communicate well in team environments.
- Good organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.

Education Requirements:

BA/BS or MA/MS. Substitutions: Six (6) years' additional relevant work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree. Associates Degree plus four (4) years' relevant work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree. Bachelor's Degree plus four (4) years' additional relevant work experience may be substituted for a Master's Degree.

Security Clearance: Secret or Secret Eligible (must be a US Citizen)

Telework and Travel: 10% Travel

Contract: This position is supporting an active, funded contract.
