Hawker Pacific Aerospace, Sun Valley, CA is seeking a Technical Coordinator I to support its Material Inspection department. Selected applicant will be Responsible for engineering activities related to the overhaul and maintenance of aircraft components.

A Technical Coordinator may be assigned to one or more departments depending upon the company needs at the time.

Essential Duties:
This individual has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned task. May be assigned some or all duties indicated below depending on job progression level.

  • Facilitate the induction of aircraft material in form of landing gear (LDG), LDG ship sets (LDG SS) or Single Component Maintenance (SCM).
  • Perform Receiving Inspection on all LDG, LDG SS or SCM and communicate discrepancies to Program Management and Customer Support within 48hrs. Verify that the requested work scope matches the customer requirements such as purchase order, configuration, etc.
  • Resolve discrepancies involving planning requirements on overhaul and repair procedures. Facilitate necessary actions to correct deficiencies occurring in the overhaul, repair, and special processes, in coordination with other departments.
  • Evaluate and disposition routine aircraft parts timely and process cost advice for SCM.
  • Interface with other departments to ensure timely flow of parts through the facility.
  • Support the day-to-day progress of an MRO event. Provide feedback regarding event progress to the relevant parties and direct manager.
  • Support requests from internal and external customers.
  • Responsible for reviewing or verifying all Component related maintenance documentation, including revisions and deviating procedures (exchange material, test and dimensional limits, shop and repair procedures, etc.) in accordance with the applicable authorities.
  • Assemble and review work order documentation packages to process Aircraft Parts through overhaul in accordance with Aircraft Records Technical Specification.

  • Support overall ERP application throughout the entire overhaul processes as well as the final cost engineering review with timely closure of events.
  • Keep abreast of latest changes, i.e. AD Notes, Service Bulletins, customer specifications, and company programs.
  • Develop and continuously improve proper quality standards for all repairs and overhaul processes.
  • Create and implement master data to support overhaul processes.
  • Lead and perform the process of resolving discrepancies involving planning requirements on overhaul and repair procedures.
  • Coordinate with other managers to take necessary action to correct deficiencies occurring in the overhaul, repair, and special processes.
  • Provide recommendation for discrepant parts for possible salvage identified during Initial disposition.
  • Ensure all applicable processes are followed and the required SAP standards for yield maximum data accuracy.
  • Assist in the development of new capabilities into live production until a stable state of operations is reached.
  • Work closely with Lean Management to support projects or lead subprojects.
  • Demonstrate competency in supporting company goals through continuous improvement projects in a visible and positive manner which increases productivity and reduces costs.
  • Responsibility to work with LEAN principles.
  • Performs other duties as required by business needs.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience: Two (2) to four (4) years’ experience required.

This position may require use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), or both. U.S. Person preferred.
