Your Role:

As a Quality Technician, you’ll be working with some of the industry’s brightest minds to build best in class vehicles. You will work closely with Quality Engineers and the manufacturing teams at the Hanford manufacturing facility. The Quality Technician is integral in development and maintenance of quality documents, coordination of part investigations, verification of audits, reporting, logistics, and problem solving.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Monitor part and process quality, determine root cause of problems, and implement and sustain corrective and preventative actions and countermeasures
  • Support the development quality requirements and control plans
  • Maintain and update Quality documentation as-needed
  • Anticipate potential problems and take preventative action
  • Work closely with Manufacturing and Process Engineering to establish and sustain robust processes and procedures, which ensure consistent high quality
  • Support in engineering part tryouts and new part introductions
  • Audit manufacturing facility against approved manufacturing processes, procedures and requirements
  • Lead and co-ordinate containment and sorting activities as-needed
  • Analyze and disposition non-conforming parts as member of the Material Review Board
  • Maintain quality performance metrics and drive issues to resolution
  • Support in risk assessment & mitigation activities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required (College degree or equivalent preferred but not required)
  • 1 or more years of experience in a Manufacturing, Quality, or Process focused role
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and trouble-shooting skills
  • Mechanical inspection experience using basic and precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings.
  • Experience writing work instructions highly desired
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices highly desired
  • Ability to operate Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • A penchant for multi-tasking and self-starting
  • A genuine fascination for the electric vehicle field and a commitment to global change
