The Opportunity -

U.S. Energy Development Corporation is looking for a Tax Manager to oversee all tax related activities for U.S. Energy and its partnerships. We are seeking a motivated, self-driven individual with 5+ years of tax and accounting experience. This position is based at our corporate office in Arlington, TX.

The Day-to-Day

  • Preparing Federal and State partnership tax work papers for Corporation and partnerships
  • Preparing quarterly tax estimates
  • Preparing year end projections
  • Responsible for K1 Workbooks
  • Preparing book to tax income and expense adjustments
  • Preparing and maintaining federal, state and local tax calendar
  • Collecting and reviewing documentation to support tax return filings
  • Performing research of relevant tax laws, regulations, and rulings to determine proper tax treatment of issues
  • Reviewing 1099 reports
  • Responding to tax notices
  • Other non-tax duties in Accounting/ Finance

What does it take to work for U.S. Energy Development Corporation?

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 5+ years' of professional tax experience
  • CPA a plus or candidate
  • Oil & Gas Industry experienced preferred
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills. Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Ability to self-manage workload volumes to achieve or exceed goals and changing priorities in a team environment.
  • Strong results-oriented focus, strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Demonstrate initiative, creativity, and resourcefulness.
