We are excited for you to apply to our Tax Accountant position. This position will be located in our Howell, Lapeer, Ann Arbor, or East Lansing offices. This position will complete individual, partnership, or business tax returns or other activities related to these returns. The incumbent is responsible for providing timely and accurate farm records to customers, including on-farm accounting services. The ideal candidate for this position would be excited to work in a fast-paced environment with high levels of customer and team interaction to provide excellent client experiences.

This position requires:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required
• CPA or Enrolled Agent designation is preferred
• Must pass the Farm Credit Income Tax Certification Exam after beginning employment.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting or tax planning & preparation is required.
• Strong understanding of tax laws and accounting principles.
• Agricultural background is highly desired.
