REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field with a minimum of three years of direct service in mental health and substance use services. Prefer two years of experience in quality improvement and auditing protocols.
• Functional knowledge of substance use and mental health disorder interventions and clinical services.
• Functional knowledge of Case/Care Management principles and established best practices.
• Functional knowledge of NC TASC Standard Operating Procedures, relevant sections of the NC DHHS Record Management and Documentation Manual. OR
• An equivalent combination of education and experience.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

Provides routine and on-going quality improvement audits of client records and other supporting documentation- to ensure the provision and documentation of quality services in accordance with established NC TASC Standard Operating Procedure; to audit processes; to improve clinical and documentation skills of staff. Findings are shared with the Program Director and copied to the EVP of Operations

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASSIFICATION:

• Quality Improvement and Internal Review:
• Maintaining all quality improvement records and documentation.
• Design, document and implement methods for periodic quality reviews and process improvement projects. •
• Conduct routine internal audits of care management service records to ensure quality service provision and maintenance of records. Maintain internal audit calendar/schedule.
• Provide outcomes and data driven reports regarding audits to the TASC Leadership Team.
• Function as a member of the TASC Leadership Team and participate in program development, projects representing quality improvement initiatives.
• Report to Justice Services leadership on quality issues, trends, and risks.
