Job Summary:


Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources this position is responsible for implementing and managing all aspects of long-term and current sourcing strategies to hire top caliber talent within the Marine Construction industry. A critical component is developing new, creative recruiting ideas, employing traditional and non-traditional sourcing strategies to identify and recruit candidates to fill positions at all levels within the organization. The key focus is to find and attract our most critical resource – our people.


Utilizing your own network of contacts and relationships to better leverage effective sourcing activities. With fundamental knowledge of project-based construction roles, being able to identify key attributes to better match candidates to various open positions will be essential.


This position requires a highly innovative, driven, appropriately assertive and engaging individual who is motivated to win as well as experience recruiting in the marine and/or heavy civil construction industry with familiarity of project related roles and responsibilities.

Education


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent education and work experience. Your experience means something here!

Experience


  • Minimum 5 years performing in a talent acquisition role, sourcing, networking, managing full life cycle recruiting and hiring processes
  • Experience recruiting in the marine and/or heavy civil construction industry with familiarity of project related roles and responsibilities.
  • Prior experience working with SilkRoad ATS is highly desired

Responsibilities:


  • Establish and continuously develop networks through industry contacts, university relations, association memberships, trade groups, and military affiliations, among other sources, to maximize recruitment resources and opportunities for the company.
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting; implement and manage initiatives to develop pipelines of qualified candidates in advance of the need.
  • Conduct assessments on market competitors and talent supply to ensure the most effective sourcing strategies
  • Manage the use of outside recruiters and external search firms/vendors for identified positions with appropriate approval.
  • Develop and manage robust talent pipelines by managing the on-going cultivation and evaluation of new candidate sourcing channels and methods
  • Perform accurate applicant tracking for Affirmative Action and other legally required reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws related to employment.
  • Other relevant duties as required.
  • Effectively source and screen candidates and drive effective partnerships with business leaders and talent acquisition partners
  • Interview and evaluate candidates using consistent templates and processes, including phone and digital interviews, leveraging behavior-based interview and assessment techniques
  • Actively champion diversity recruitment strategies and use sourcing techniques that reach diverse populations
  • Demonstrate and apply knowledge of recruitment related employment laws
  • Actively participate in Talent Acquisition projects which could include process improvement initiatives, social media, participation in user councils and/or in diversity events
  • Accurately and effectively track sourcing activities and results
  • Establish performance metrics and conduct analysis and review of transactional and proactive pipelining efforts to ensure efforts are hitting targets.

Salary Range:


  • $55K - $85K
