About this position

We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Recruiter – Specialist/Senior Associate who will work closely with the HRBPs to help lead full life-cycle recruitment efforts across multiple senior and confidential roles in assigned segments. In this role, you will gain experience to help you grow in talent management skills, in the field of international development.

You will be joining the Talent Acquisition team, a proficient, encouraging, and fast-paced team within the Talent Management Division of the Human Resources Department. Working with us, you will be surrounded by a diverse group of hard-working people whose purpose and drive is to attract, source, and recruit diverse and highly qualified candidates for the Bank’s three businesses (IDB, IDB Invest, and IDB Lab). We partner, as appropriate, to ensure that the Employer Brand is communicated, and relevant marketing campaigns are designed to facilitate talent attraction efforts.

What you will do:

  • Working under the moderate supervision of the Head of Talent Acquisition, you will:

  • Lead the end-to-end hiring process, for senior and highly confidential roles, from identifying workforce requirements, revision of job descriptions, coordinating with the Sourcing Team, coordinating intake meetings, and acting as an advisor to the Chairperson on the hiring process, attending and advising the Panel, documenting Panel interviews, and hiring decisions.

  • Provide input to the Sourcing Team on the quality of the candidate pool and discuss and agree the preferred sourcing strategy with the Chairperson of the panel and Sourcing Team. Act as principle contact for Headhunters, when applicable.

  • Provide technical guidance on the quality of the Terms of Reference (TORs), the assessment tools best suited for the candidate profile and draft behavioral interview questions as needed to guide the panel interviews in assessing the candidate’s fit for the role.

  • Actively work towards building a diverse and qualified team to support the organization by ensuring the diversity of candidates and panel members, as well as preserving the integrity and impartiality of the members, including the Chairperson, during the process.

  • Provide an excellent candidate experience and promote the IDB Group employment brand throughout the recruitment process; present candidates with IDB Group value proposition, including preparation of salary analysis and summary of benefits.

  • Serve as brand ambassador at various events, representing the IDB Group internally and externally at events with the goal of networking and building rapport with potential candidate communities.

  • Contribute to the development of new or revised tools, methodologies and procedures.

  • Demonstrate thorough understanding of relevant Recruitment and Selection policies, providing guidance to others on their application.

What you'll need

  • Education: Master's Degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
  • Experience: 4 or more years of relevant professional experience in an HR-related function, preferably in an international setting.
  • Significant experience recruiting for a high-volume organization, agency, or executive search firm strongly preferred with an excellent understanding of full cycle recruitment processes.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (such as Oracle Taleo) and conducting recruitment interviews is advantageous.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English and another Bank’s official language (Spanish, French or Portuguese) is desirable.

Requirements

  • Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries. We may offer assistance with relocation and visa applications for you and your eligible dependents.

Type of contract and duration

  • Staff International: International staff contract, 36 months initially, renewable upon mutual agreement.
