DSI Tech is nested within the Division of Digital Strategy and Innovation. DSI Tech is largely responsible for AV and IT services in learning spaces on the UNT flagship campus as well as it’s associated branch campuses.
Position Overview
This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the day to day operations for DSI Tech installing, supporting and repairing learning spaces systems. Customer support for systems and
soft codec video conferencing solutions such as Zoom. This role also plays a big part in the progression of project implementations for learning spaces.

Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in related field and two years of related computing work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to supervise and train subordinates.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred experience in UNT processes and procedures. As well as DSI-Tech system configurations, standards and in-house software, such as Work Order, Room Monitor, and our preferred experience in UNT processes and procedures. Job Duties
o
Awareness of current audio/visual and IT standards as it relates to the system standards implemented by the department.
o
Awareness of DSI Tech’s scope of services: learning spaces technology, cloud conferencing and how to verify when an incident or project is in scope of our department and when to escalate questions accordingly.
o
Awareness of common UNT procedures such as: contacting Work Control, contacting UNT Police Department, contacting federated IT groups, basic understanding of funding types and appropriate use, etc.
o
Functional awareness of the department’s digital tools including, but not limited to: CSS Work Order program, CSS Room Monitor program, Microsoft Office Solutions, IT Incident reporting tools, Project Management tools
o
