- Serve as the technical expert and system administrator for system software, hardware and infrastructure/services
- Information Technology (IT) System Support to ensure the development, upgrading, maintenance and security of the operational computer systems and end user computing
- Implement, maintain, and enforce policies, procedures, IT standards and associated plans for system security administration and user system access
- Collaborate with Cyber Security professionals to assess the network’s compliance with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
- Develop and recommend inputs to technical documentation to include engineering change requests, network diagrams, test procedures, installation instructions, technical directives, bulletins, and white papers
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new IT network equipment and technologies for procurements
- Resolve complex IT and network problems to ensure interoperability of voice, video, and data services across multiple platforms
- Manage system configuration, virtualization, documentation, security updates and support of higher-level IT projects to improve operations
- Configure network equipment and subsystems
- Perform testing, network troubleshooting, and resolution
Must Have:
- Active Secret security clearance
- Current DoD 8570 compliance – minimum CompTIA Security+ CE certification
- Degree in IT or one of the following certifications:
• VMware Certified Technical Associate – Network Virtualization (VCTA-NV)
• Microsoft Certified - Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
- Experience using PowerShell and script writing
- Self-starter: ability to work with limited supervision
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Years of Experience Required:
- At least five (5) years of relevant experience
Training/Degree Requirements:
- BS degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technologies, or a relevant technical discipline, or BS degree in a non-related field with at least six (6) years of relevant experience
- Current DoD 8570 compliance – minimum CompTIA Security+ CE certification
- Experience with NIPRNET/SIPRNET, and Type 1 encryption devices
- Install, configure, support, and train misc. customized system solutions including network and security devices, cabling, and other hardware and software to customer satisfaction
- One of the following certifications:
• VMware Certified Technical Professional – Network Virtualization (VCTP-NV)
- Experience in configuration of Dell PowerEdge, and Cisco network equipment
- Experienced Tech that can lead, train, and develop fellow team members
- Demonstrate experience with local area and wide area networks providing voice, video, and data services; DMVPN, IPsec EIGRP, QoS, NAC, wired VoIP, wireless VoIP, and VoSIP; VLANs; IPv4 addressing and subnetting; firewalls, routers, switches, and IP accelerators
- Demonstrate experience with Windows 10, Server 2019, DNS, DHCP, WDS, AD, and virtualization
