North Sound Dermatology is growing! We have an opening for a Surgical Technologist at our Anacortes office with travel to other locations and are actively seeking a qualified candidate. We are the Pacific Northwest's premier destination for dermatology and skin cancer care.

The Surgical Technologist provides technical assistance to the surgeon intraoperatively by scrubbing, setting up, and maintaining a sterile field for surgical procedures; assembling instruments and equipment; and functioning as a member of the surgical team.

SOME ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE: *

• Identifies, selects, and coordinates equipment, instruments and supplies required for each procedure
• Assist in preparation of room with room turnover, cleaning, and restocking
• Setup and breakdown of sterile field with sterile supplies, instrument trays, and solutions
• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon by passing instruments, supplies, sponges, and cautery for usage during the procedure
• Prepares and assists with surgical dressing application including pressure dressing, splint application and compression wrap
• Demonstrates correct use of surgical instruments and assists in training and instruction for new personnel
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS*

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program, certification preferred
• Registration with the WA State Dept of Health
• Willing to become BLS certified required

This positions schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm
