Job Summary
Under the general supervision and direction of the Nurse Manager, RN, or Surgical Scrub the Surgical Attendant renders direct care according to the age and developmental level of the patient in accordance with the mission, philosophy, policies and procedures of MVHS.
Core Job Responsibilities
- Promotes and maintains overall cleanliness of the unit
- Recognizes emergent patient care situations and reports findings to the RN
- Communicates pertinent information to appropriate personnel in an accurate and timely fashion.
- Notifies appropriate hospital personnel of repair needs and potential hazards
- Restocks sup lies/linen in operating room suites
- Perform other duties as required.
Education/Experience Requirements
REQUIRED:
High school diploma or equivalent
PREFERRED:
Previous experience as a Nurse Assistant or recent Nursing school experience Prior experience in a surgical environment
Licensure/Certification Requirements
