South Mississippi Regional Center is a program of the Mississippi Department of Mental Health providing care and support for people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. We are currently seeking individuals who are energetic and compassionate team players and motivators for direct support positions at all of our locations. Support Care Professional II (Seamstress/Shopper Assistant/Administration)
SCHEDULE/SHIFTS: 8:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M. Variations as necessary.
WORK LOCATION: Client Services Department - Long Beach
PAY: $24,024.34 Annual = $11.51 hourly
SCHEDULE/SHIFTS: Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Variations as necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position supports the Unit Social Worker providing support with clothing, administrative duties and shopping.

Duties:
Requires the ability to operate a sewing machine, mending clothing, providing alterations as needed, sewing labels into clothing, inventory of clothing items, and record keeping. Will prepare seasonal or special occasion outfits for residents.
Purchasing supplies, clothing and seasonal gifts for residents, maintains records of purchases.

Supports the Unit Social Worker on all administrative duties such as mail outs, reporting and record keeping. May participate in other special projects for client use.

May assist with client care as needed.
Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from a standard four-year high school or equivalent (GED or High School Equivalency Diploma). A valid MS Driver’s license or license from a contiguous state is required.
