RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to : Strategic Sourcing Leader

Other Key Relationships:
Production Managers and Supervisors, Manufacturing Engineers, Sourcing Leaders, Purchasing, Design Engineers, and Supply Chain

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process First Article Process (FAI) to ensure timely builds in Manufacturing and help provide corrective action to Suppliers for any discrepancies.
Assist Sourcing team with projects or commodity management
Understand and interpret all manufacturing audits, ISO 9001 and other industry standards
Generate and communicate quarterly Supplier report cards
Assist with logistics, including communications with vendors when there are packaging and receiving issues when materials arrive at receiving dock
Performs supplier Audits and manages supplier self-evaluations
Technical resource for Sourcing Leaders when evaluating material for compliance
Travel with Sourcing team to conduct supplier audits both domestic and international

Critical Success Factors

Excellent in-house and external communication and liaison skills in a team setting
Sound judgment, including the ability to anticipate the impact of decisions.
Highly analytical, with a clear, logical understanding of problem-solving including Root Cause, Corrective Action, Counter Measures, Problem Solving Plans (PSP) and Action Plan development and execution.
Desire to navigate through ambiguity and change; excel in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to be a change agent, demonstrating persistence and resilience when faced with challenges.

Required skills and experience:
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in an engineering science
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
Ability to travel periodically as required to solve supplier quality issues (domestic & internationally).

Preferred skills and experience:
Lean manufacturing experience
Hands on knowledge and understanding of ERP/MRP systems and their use in a manufacturing environment.
