Job Description Summary:
This position supervises all day-to-day operations of the Glacier Tennis Club.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience directing an indoor or outdoor tennis operation including budget oversight, staff supervision, daily operations and marketing required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year leadership experience required.
  • Possess a desire to work with children and serve as a positive role model.
  • Possess a demonstrated ability to facilitate programs and coach sessions.
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.
Job Specific Duties:
  • Oversees all day-to-day operations and staff at the LHMFC tennis facility. This oversight includes, but may not be limited to; check-in, billing, lessons, and special activities. Works with appropriate stakeholders to develop work schedules.
  • Responsible for developing a program that promotes the growth and development of adult and youth tennis in the Flathead Valley and surrounding communities.
  • Ensures a welcoming, safe, and fun environment for adult and youth athletes.
  • Works closely with LHMFC and the front desk to maintain accurate and efficient court scheduling and billing systems.
  • Adheres to evidence-based protocols and procedures of the US Tennis Association.
  • Implements curriculum and instructs tennis related activities for the LH Youth Development program.
  • Exhibits a desire and ability to promote the game of tennis through games, leagues, activities, and events.
  • Ensures accurate records of all tennis activities. Completes payroll documentation for teaching professionals in a timely manner.
  • Develops and oversees the implementation of special events such as; social activities, leagues, tournaments, etc. Ensures that events are well organized, customer friendly, and operate within budgetary guidelines.
  • Identifies and develops relationships with community members who may have an interest in donating to the overall mission and vision of tennis and the LH Youth Development program.
  • Applies for supplementary funds (such as grants) to advance tennis activities and facilities for the community.
  • Works collaboratively with the marketing team for advertisement, web page updates, and event promotion.
  • Leads the hiring process, preparation and delivery of evaluations and corrective action for assigned staff.
  • Supervisors may be expected to perform the following tasks regularly:
  • Creates work schedule and assigns employees to specific work tasks.
  • Trains and/or coordinates the training of assigned staff.
  • Oversees and coordinates successful completion of employees’ competency assessments and required training.
  • Acts as point-of-contact/subject matter expert for assigned staff.
  • Leads and/or coordinates compliance and quality efforts.

Schedule:
Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
