OrthoCarolina is currently seeking a Supervisor, Customer Service Support (Medical Billing) with the OrthoCarolina Business Office in Charlotte.
The Supervisor of Customer Service Support oversees the Customer Service Support department by effectively monitoring employee’s performance to ensure superior customer service, consistent goal achievement, and adherence to processes/procedure. Collaborates with manager to identify and implement process improvement strategies. Performs all duties in accordance with all company guidelines and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Promote a team environment, working with other Customer Service Support Staff to provide patients with the best solutions for their financial situation. Other duties which can include:
  • Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, including staffing, mentoring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; monitoring performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints; and resolving problems.
  • Assists in answering escalated patient inquiries and answers complex/general questions from Customer Service Representatives.
  • Develop, review and distribute Patient letters, including but not limited to, month end collection letters
  • Coordinate job assignments for the Customer Support II representative, to include. training corrected claims, voided claims and assist with denial investigation and completion
  • Close month end accounts for all PDUR and PSMALL queues
  • Review and close month end accounts for Surgery Center (Mallard Creek)
  • Review and assist with transmitting refund files for OC and Surgery Center (Mallard Creek)
  • Handle voided and returned refund checks, responsibilities to include confirming check status and reissuing
  • Conduct all annual employee evaluations for Customer Support representatives I and II
