Summary

Manage day to day business operations of the Pediatric Palliative Care Division by performing and assisting with the implementation of financial, human resources, educational and/or grants related activities and programs. This role may supervise professional and/or operational and technical support level employees.

Job Duties

  • Manage the daily operation of the Pediatric Palliative Care Division including, but not limited to, areas of human resources, compliance, and financial management.
    • Faculty recruitment
    • Faculty appointments and promotions
    • Faculty credentialing
    • Training compliance
    • Faculty cost and effort distribution (PEPT)
    • SuccessFactor onboarding and offboarding
  • Serve as Fellowship Coordinator for the ACGME accredited Pediatric Palliative Care Fellowship Program Administrative support to the Division Chief including calendar management, meeting coordination, expense management and correspondence.
  • May Supervise professional and/or operational and technical support level employees, to include assigning tasks, checking work at frequent intervals, performing annual performance evaluations, and maintaining schedules.
  • Develop and prepare reports for grants, general appropriations, endowments, and other funds.
  • Review and approve all statements of accounts, payroll, human resources, and invoice actions.
  • Ensure the ongoing review and development of process improvements to maximize business productivity.
  • May assist with chief with Joint Commission Advanced Certification needs including gathering of required documents, assisting with intra-cycle reporting, and assisting with bi-annual site visits.
  • May assist with pre-award and/or post-award related tasks in support of department faculty members.
  • May assist with special projects.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • No experience required with Bachelor’s degree.
  • Strong leadership background.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Due to the fact that this Division is dealing with parents with end-of-life children, it is important that this person have a strong character while having compassion for the providers, ancillary staff, parents, and children.
