When a school nurse is absent, a qualified substitute is needed to carry out the educational program. As a substitute school nurse, you'll become an integral part of a school's educational team, amplifying your nursing expertise while maximizing the learning experience for students!

Responsibilities of a Substitute Nurse

• Provide critical care services to students as assigned
• Administer physician-ordered medications
• Maintain medication records and reports
• Assist with personal hygiene tasks
• Perform first aid, CPR, and other medical procedures
• Report all cases of diagnosed or suspected communicable diseases
• Maintain inventory of health room supplies
• Perform other duties as directed

Qualifications of a Substitute Nurse

• RN
