Substance Abuse Nurse Job at Coastal Horizons Center
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides dispensing of opioid treatment medications using a computerized dosing system,
- Performs assessment of patient medical progress as it relates to opioid treatment, documents clinical and medical findings relevant to treatment, and determines the referral status to the program physician or other health care provider,
- Orients newly admitted patients regarding medical aspects of opioid treatment program, provides education and prevention of communicable disease risk to patients and their family,
- Collects specimens for substance abuse testing and monitoring.
- Participates in case staffing of patient medical/clinical service plans,
- Assists program physician with patient care,
- Documents and ensures accurate record keeping of all controlled substances and monitors compliance with all state and federal regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS: Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Prefer basic familiarity with using computerized record keeping and one year experience working with substance use disorder (SUD) population.
SALARY: Commensurate with education and experience, with available medical/dental benefits, life insurance, long term disability insurance, paid time off programs, 401K retirement savings plan
JOB AVAILABILITY DATE: Immediate. Full-time, permanent (40 hours per week), Must be available for 5:00 am till 1:00 pm for dispensing and every other Saturday.
