Job Description
The Desert Research Institute (DRI), Sulo & Aileen Maki Research Library, 755 East Flamingo Road, Las Vegas, is looking for a Library Assistant to perform a variety of tasks to include: copying/scanning, shelving, retrieval of materials from the DRI and UNLV Libraries, and other special projects as assigned. The successful candidate must have his/her own transportation available and be willing to travel to DRI and other locations as needed (mileage is reimbursed).
Required Qualifications

Must be a current UNLV student enrolled in at least 6 credits

Basic computer experience with Word, Excel, Internet searches, and ability to use a scanner/copier

A valid Nevada driver’s license (and good driving record)

Previous library experience
Compensation Grade
Pay is $13 per hour with no benefits.
Schedule
Work schedule is approximately 10-20 hours per week (Monday-Friday) between the hours of 8am and 5 pm.

Requires physical ability to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, stand, or sit for prolonged periods of time; requires ability to lift and carry approximately 30 lbs.; travel to different site and locations
