We have an exciting opportunity for a Structural or Civil Engineer to join our team of engineering experts in supporting the energy transition, and central to this is delivering renewable energy generation.

What you will be doing.

As our Structural or Civil Engineer, you will be responsible to supervise and undertake complex marine engineering services with a primary focus on Jackup, Rig Site Specific Assessment, Punch Through Analysis, and Transportation Studies. You will also be involved in a wide variety of activities, ranging from the analysis and design of vessels, rigs, and floating structures to the approval of marine operations. In addition, you will:

• Carry out Jackup Site Specific Assessments, Punch through Analyses, and Transportation studies using SACS.
• Interface with other disciplines.
• Carry out a wide range of designs and analyses for floating and fixed structures, including Jackup, semisubmersibles, MOPUs, lift boats, FPSOs as well as wind farm foundations.
• Assist with the analyses for offshore installations, loadout, and transport studies.
• Provide guidance and support to designer and draft persons for design drawings and check the drawings for deliveries.

The role is based in Texas, the US, or potentially at any one of our larger North American office locations. The candidate must have the right to live and work in the United States.

Flexibility and willingness to travel as well as readiness for onshore/offshore assignments at short notice locally and globally for periods of time would be required.

What we are looking for.

We are looking for an outgoing and pragmatic candidate with a strength of character, attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to prioritize work. A typical applicant will have a good degree, good interpersonal skills, and be a strong team player with a proactive approach. The candidate will be well organized, self-directed & insightful, and have excellent communication and report-writing skills. In addition, you:

• Hold a Degree in Science related to the maritime and offshore sector (in civil/ structural engineering, naval architecture, marine, electrical, subsea, or related discipline).
• Must have more than 4+ years of relevant professional experience within the energy industry. (or less than 4 years’ experience if it includes robust SACS experience)
• Having experience in designing and analyzing vessels and offshore structures is desirable, but not a requisite.
• Experience with SACS, and FEMAP is a must. (Experience in ANSYS will be an added advantage).
• Should have strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
