Job Summary:
This position is responsible for leading supply program owners through a disciplined strategic sourcing process on products and services that will maximize program performance, while minimizing cost.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Evaluate enterprise spend patterns and identify opportunities
Investigate supply value opportunities and construct project charters for sourcing initiatives
Develop category-specific sourcing spend profiles by assembling spend detail baselines of incumbent supplier, product/service purchased, prices paid, internal consumers of product/service, and any performance to business requirements
Communicate with stakeholders regarding potential and existing sourcing activity
Lead enterprise sourcing initiatives through a disciplined process generating value through leveraged competitive negotiations, demand management, process efficiency, and other constructs
Advise stakeholders on available project options, including supplier selection, performance alternatives, demand planning and others
Assist in the deployment and success of delivering sourced program commitments
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers in the marketplace to understand and stay abreast of industry changes that might impact key critical programs relative to pricing, risk and innovations
Conduct total cost modeling and cost benefit analysis
Measure and track procurement metrics and produce department dashboard for reporting to executive management and key stakeholders
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
M.B.A preferred
Experience:
Five or more years of consulting, procurement or finance experience in a multi-business environmentDiversified background with significant exposure to and/or experience in operations, accounting, finance, and supply chain; media and advertising experience a plus
Strong and successful experience in sourcing a wide spectrum of commodities
Effective negotiation skills
Demonstrated ability to produce a quality output through prioritization of efforts in a timely manner
Qualifications:
Customer oriented; focused on planning and aligning efforts with key stakeholders, delivering results, and maintaining a positive and constructive relationship in all endeavors with customers, team members and suppliers
Ability to work under minimal supervision, independently and/or as a member of a project team
Ability to multitask and to prioritize workload under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Able to analyze and evaluate spend data from less-than-perfect historical data, and to construct and develop logical sourcing strategies and fact-based options
Self-motivated and personally committed to continuous improvement
An influencer with excellent oral and written communication skills when dealing with customers, team members, and suppliers
