Convenience Store Regional Sales Manager

Midwest Central Region


Position Overview:

As a Convenience Store Regional Sales Manager, you will have an impact to our success by leading, managing and developing the growth of our top 100 retailers, mid-tier accounts and distributors in the region. You will have the opportunity to secure and develop customer relationships; lead and coach brokers to deliver annual sales objectives and present fact-based presentations that are consistent with our strategy to grow the business.


Responsibilities:

  • Focus on growth of Top 100 (Kwik Trip, Walgreens, Casey’s, etc.) and mid-tier accounts, having a strong understanding of customers within your region and our competitors. Build independent customer base through the distributor and broker network.
  • Develop customer relationships vertically through the organization above category manager level.
  • Ability to execute and deliver objectives for annual business plans.
  • Coach and lead broker to deliver sales objectives. Set annual goals and perform quarterly business reviews.
  • Manage volume, net sales, trade spending and cost center target for the region.
  • Collaborates with Foodservice sales, marketing, finance, demand planning, and customer service.
  • Deliver HICS. (Highest Impact on Customer Success). Utilize strategic question-asking process to understand customers’ key initiatives to drive sales and profits


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required


Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience; Convenience Store Foodservice experience preferred
  • Computer Skills – MS Office (Power Point, Excel), BOBJ, Member Central, Portal, Blacksmith
  • Marketing - Ability to develop and execute customer programs
  • Syndicated Data – Understand and explain consumer and product research (Johnsonville, Techonomic, Data Essentials, etc.)
  • Strong presentation and communication skills

Travel:
25-35% (You work out your own schedule.)


Work Location:
Midwest Central Region - Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana or Michigan (Work from home when you’re not traveling)
