Duties and Responsibilities:

· Move raw material, work in process, and finished goods into and between work centers.

· Operate hand and power tools to clean finished materials and to complete minor repairs.

· Operate other machinery to complete secondary operations such as drilling, punching, bending, grinding, torch cutting, shearing, flattening, etc.

· Move finished material onto skids for final packaging.

· Maintain pace with equipment operators to ensure material flows smoothly into and out of individual work centers and prevent back up or delays.

· Use basic measuring tools to maintain quality standards on each order.

· Maintain neat and accurate written production documentation as required.

· Read, interpret, and understand the job requirements of each customer order. Communicate with foreman to ensure a complete understanding of all information.

· Communicate all pertinent job related information to foreman on a daily basis.

· Report any problems or quality concerns to supervisor immediately.

· Other related duties as assigned.

Skills:

Basic mechanical aptitude

Basic reading and mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)

Dexterity skills & Balance

Ability to lift up to 75 pounds

Ability to lift (with hands & arms), bend, stoop, squat, stand or walk for extended periods of time

Good oral & written communication skills

Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Prior experience helpful

Expectations:

  • Work in a safe and controlled manner and operate equipment within the designated capacity
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times. Use any available time to clean work area and ensure all debris is disposed of properly.
  • Promptly report any accidents, incidents, near misses or hazardous conditions to your supervisor
  • Familiarity with all EKSP forms, documents, reports related to your job function, including but not limited to forms and reports related to inventory, logistics, & production/operations departments
  • Maintain neat and accurate written production documentation as required
  • Communicate all pertinent job related information to supervisor/manager on a daily basis
  • Forward-thinking while learning from errors, with focus on quality and customer service, solutions and continual improvements
  • Focus on efficiencies and time- and labor-saving steps; cost reduction; increased profitability
  • Performs all duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.50 per hour
