Staff Accountant
Full-time position- benefit eligible after 60 days
$25-28.85 per hour, depending on experience and degree
Job Summary:
The Staff Accountant works directly with the Controller to maintain accurate accounting records for Harbour Ridge Yacht & Country Club, Inc., Harbour Ridge Property Owner’s Association, Inc. and 27 Villages. Responsible for supporting the Accounting department and functions including but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, month end financial reports, cash receipts, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and tax reports.
Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations:
· Strong Attention to detail- proficient in excel
· Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
· Excellent problem solving skills
· Working knowledge of general ledger accounting, accounts payable and accounts receivable
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Ensure balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly.
· Full cycle accounting including budgeting and year-end close.
· Prepare and file 1099 forms and tax returns.
· Work with external auditors.
· Manage capital cash flows and projections.
· Assist the CFO and Controller with any needed tasks.
Qualifications
· Accounting Degree preferred. New Graduates welcome.
· Experience in the private club and/or hospitality industry is highly desired
