As a senior member of Genoa Finance, the position will play a key role as the financial advisor and strategic partner to the business, drive innovation and foster development to support the growth of the Genoa business. The Senior Director will support growth initiatives, purchasing optimization initiatives, expense management and overall P&L management of the business.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Executive reporting surrounding financial and business insights and messaging that drive incremental business results
• Drive Genoa financial forecasting and long-range planning processes
• Continually refine internal financial modeling and systems supporting the forecasting process
• Support M&A Integration including synergy management, financial planning integration and executive financial status reporting
• Evaluate competitor landscape, providing insightful reporting and metrics that are delivered to executive management to drive business decisions
• Engage on end-to-end process improvements across OptumRx
• Lead and develop FP&A analysis team
• Partner with accounting and business leaders to develop requirements and manage priorities; work collaboratively with other leaders across the organization
• Ability to manage resources, engage development teams, manage multiple priorities, navigate the organization, build relationships to support development efforts.
• Strong understanding of business and ability to prioritize work efforts to meet requirements.
• Support efforts to leverage tools and drive consistent reporting
• Proactively seek opportunities to improve process or infrastructure and influence change
• Identify development opportunities, process improvements, best practices
• Engage with other Optum teams to understand business needs; identify opportunities to support business growth and optimize existing infrastructure

Required Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• 10+ years of relevant, high-impact financial experience
• 5+ years of management experience
• Exceptional financial acumen
• Demonstrated experience delivering results while working across a matrix environment
• Able to drive business performance in a high-growth environment
• Ability to anticipate issues, assess implications and implement appropriate action plans
• Experience communicating complex thoughts in a clear, concise, and timely manner both in written and oral form
• Able to partner with the business and guide decisions to ensure operating and financial performance objectives are met
• Demonstrated combination of creativity and discipline applied to execution of scalable new growth initiatives
• Collaborative and flexible style, with strong service mentality and passion for Finance team development
