The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Business Analytics Analyst to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to build relationships and service our team.
This position will report to our agency located in Richmond, VA. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This is a remote position.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Business Analytics team to design, maintain and deliver KPIs, Executive Insights and other reports to senior leadership via PowerBI dashboards.
- Assist with project management for selected projects.
- Create and maintain documentation (specifications, etc.) for all critical reports utilized by the organization.
- Support data quality initiatives including creation of a data quality score card for our source systems.
- Process confidential data and information according to guidelines.
- Assist with creation and management of Data Warehouse.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years’ work experience as a data analyst in insurance or an insurance-related field.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Database Management, Data Analytics, Computer Science or, related field.
- Expertise in PowerBI dashboard creation.
- Experience with the following programming languages (in decreasing importance): R, SQL, and Python.
- Demonstrated experience in querying large data sets, relational databases, and executing data transformations.
- Ability to clearly articulate technical programming requirements to a non-technical audience. Similarly, be able to translate business requirements into technical programming requirements and specifications.
- High-level written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to professionally interact at all levels of the organization, including senior and executive level individuals.
