JOB SUMMARY: The Baltimore Orioles are seeking a Sports Performance Analyst for the 2023 Major League Baseball Championship season. This person will be responsible for aiding in ensuring high quality data acquisition and practices, while directly assisting major league performance staff.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary duties to include, but not limited to the following:

• Maintain GPS, VBT, and all other equipment and technology data. Work with vendors to quickly troubleshoot when issues arise throughout the organization
• Guide clean data collection processes
• Back-end data processing to clean data as necessary
• Manage passwords, profiles, usernames, permissions, and the storage and security thereof for all tech and platforms for sports sciences
• Update rosters and other information in tech apps throughout the season
• Assist in all steps of collaboration in completion of athlete management system with developers and Performance Staff
• Aid Sports Medicine in obtaining quality data during vision assessments
• Help with quality collection and assessment of current practices in body composition, mobility assessments, vision, strength/power and speed
• Organize and carry out workload management systems.
• Help build reports to improve player programs and to evaluate of their training. Will be in person with Major League team to help build reports to improve player programs, collaboration, and evaluation of their program
• Support player development with the application of relevant data
• Work with Head of Strength and Performance to manage departmental budget
• Potential of need to travel to affiliate/other locations to troubleshoot issues, aid in assessing or data collection
• Other duties as directed by Head of Performance, Major League strength staff, and minor league strength and conditioning coordinator
